I want to commend the Gazette for publishing the series of articles on the status of downtown Northampton.
My hope is that it brings about a change for the better. I didn’t see any solutions put forth by the leadership of our city. Perhaps the articles will inspire the citizenry to make suggestions that could be implemented to restore Northampton to its former glory.
My suggestion would be that we hire a police officer whose “daily beat” is downtown Northampton. The extra marijuana tax money should enable us to do that.
