As I do each day of the week, I started my day with some breakfast and the Gazette. It was interesting to read about an Amherst fellow who has become the world’s strongest man (basically a full page of information), to see a half-page devoted to Felicity Huffman (all I needed to know is that she will pay for her mistakes!); and then enjoy the Opinion page.
I then delve into the Cities and Town (things I’m interested in!) and then the Weekend Living section. That is when I get concerned that I’ve gone blind! On further inspection, I see that you have chosen to reduce the size of the print in many items that might really affect my life — the senior citizen events in minute print! Luckily, I won’t be needing school lunch menus this week, but I am interested in my Friends and Neighbors. Why is that in smaller font?
Please reconsider. Let’s have the Huffman news, the political rhetoric and other bad news in smaller type and use the larger fonts for things that actually might help us!
