SOUTH HADLEY — Thomas R. Reidy of South Hadley is among five attorneys with Bacon Wilson to be named to the 2019 Massachusetts Super Lawyers list. Reidy was selected to rising star each year from 201 to 2019 in the categories of land use and zoning.

LONGMEADOW — At its annual meeting in November, Glenmeadow appointed a new member to its board of directors and welcomed five new corporate ambassadors to a team of several dozen.
Dennis Fitzpatrick of Leverett, formerly the board’s vice-chair, is the new chairman.

EASTHAMPTON – Insa, a cannabis company headquartered in Easthampton with locations in Springfield and Salem, brought in more than 2,000 nonperishable food items and over $2,000 in cash donations for Rock 102.1’s annual Mayflower Marathon.
Insa CEO Mark Zatyrka says that food drives have proven to be something Insa’s patients, patrons and employees respond to very well, reminding us we are all one community, and must support each other.

FLORENCE—Florence Bank was recently recognized by the U.S.Small Business Administration as the Western Massachusetts Third Party Lender of the Year for loans the bank administers to small businesses in the area.
Michael A. Davey and Erin Couture, both vice presidents and commercial loan officers with the bank, accepted the award on Nov. 8.
The bank offers third party loans, called SBA 504 loans, in collaboration with certified development corporations.
Davey said the program allows small business owners who might be lacking the traditional 20 percent down payment to purchase business property with only 10 percent down and reduces the bank’s exposure to risk.

EASTHAMPTON — BankESB recently donated $3,500 to sponsor the annual Hot Chocolate Run, an event held by Safe Passage, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a world free of domestic violence and relationship abuse.
The run was held in Northampton on Dec. 8 to help raise awareness for the prevention of domestic violence. BankESB’s donation marks its seventh consecutive year of support for the event.
The funds raised through the event will help support Safe Passage’s range of services for survivors, including shelter for those at risk, counseling for adults and children, 24-hour crisis support, legal services, housing advocacy, community education, and violence prevention. The organization provides services to ensure everycommunity receives the assistance they need, including survivors who are Latino, immigrants, or disabled, as well as LGBTQ, non-binary, and gender non-conforming.

HOLYOKE — Evan Dowd has joined The Dowd Agencies LLC, joining his brother, Jack Dowd, as a fifth-generation employee of the company.
Dowd gained extensive industry knowledge through positions at both local and national insurance companies while living in Boston. He’s excited to return to western Mass., and to be a part of his hometown community.
Before his current position at Dowd, Evan worked in Boston in roles including sales, claims adjustment and underwriting. A 2013 graduate of Bates College, Evan is a licensed property and casualty insurance producer and is currently working toward his chartered property casualty underwriter designation. He lives in Longmeadow.
