As I was driving to work in Northampton from my home in Chesterfield one recent morning, it dawned on me how grateful I was for the well-plowed roads.
I have come to take for granted this taxpayer-funded service that enables me to get to work safely despite the snow and that serves our entire community regardless of income. It occurred to me how absurd it is, in contrast, that we cannot all take for granted being able to afford or have access to health care when we need it.
Health care should be as much a right as driving on snow-plowed roads.
