In response to Dayne Tracy’s Jan. 3 letter to the editor, I won’t disagree that my 401K likely increased, I didn’t check.

What I do doubt is if any of our Valley residents who need to use the depleted food pantry in South Hadley even have 401K’s to check. An article on the same day as Tracy’s letter said the food pantry had to scramble to meet “unprecedented need.”

Trump might be good for the rich, but he sure as heck is terrible for the poor. His latest war on the poor is cutting SNAP benefits.
