Hampshire Regional’s Edward Przybyla finished second in the boys varsity slalom at Thursday’s PVIAC Alpine Ski Race No. 3. He crossed the finish line in 36.03 seconds.

St. Mary’s Jack Masciadrelli won in 35.11.

Nico Christakos of Amherst finished third (36.55). Northampton’s Nate Jones took fourth (37.32) followed by Gateway’s Zachary Ames in fifth (37.59). Teammate Dawson Kelly was next in sixth (38.15).

The Blue Devils’ Benjamin Delacour finished 10th (39.98). Jake Thayer of Gateway placed 11th (40.00), Northampton’s Burke Warren 13th (40.55) and Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion Charter School’s Sebastian English 14th (40.62).

In the girls giant slalom, Frontier Regional’s Coriann Delaney took fourth (28.64). Northampton teammates Ellie Mahoney (29.56) and Abby Denhart (29.82) were seventh and eighth, respectively.

Gateway’s Tayla Gilman (30.56) and PVCICS’ Sarah Fardal (30.56) tied for 11th.

Maddie Raymond of Northampton placed 13th (30.7), Amherst Sora Green 14th (30.73) and Amherst’s Sea Kay Leung 15th (31.12).
