As 2019 came to a close, so did another downtown Northampton business. Acadia Herbals, which was located in the Maplewood shops on Conz Street, closed at the end of November.
Acadia served the herbalist’s community from “dabblers” to professional practitioners to local herb farms, and was one of the many special places that attracted tourists to town. Many of us relied on Acadia for ourselves, and sent our students and clients for supplies as well.
Those of us who have signed this letter are a small fraction of customers who will miss the shop greatly. We give many thanks to Jennifer Goodheart and her staff, who were always friendly and knowledgeable, for 10 wonderful years of service to the community.
