SOUTHAMPTON — Southampton police arrested a man on a federal warrant after finding drugs, a weapon and over $300 cash in his car during a routine traffic stop.
Police stopped Wilmar Chum, 29, of Springfield on Tuesday at around 5 p.m. on Route 10 and found a loaded 9-millimeter pistol with damaged serial numbers, several bags of cocaine, a scale and the cash, Southampton police reported on the department’s Facebook page.
Federal authorities are now handling Chum’s case, and charges are pending in relation to the items seized during the traffic stop, according to Southampton police.
