Homeowners of Northampton may be unaware and should be concerned about the latest relaxation of zoning laws proposed in the name of “infill” and “density.”
A public hearing was held by the City Council Committee on Legislative Matters on Feb. 10 to explain the changes yet to be voted on. Please pay attention or you, as well as I, maybe one day wondering, “how did this happen?” while looking out our windows to cars parked in front of houses because developers are no longer required to provide adequate parking (and in some cases, any parking) for new dwelling units in the city.
