Kyra Rideout led four Smith College basketball players in double figures with 13 points, as the Pioneers beat Mount Holyoke 84-32 at home Wednesday.

It was Smith’s third straight victory.

Elle Jo Whalen had 12 points and seven rebounds, while Morgan Morrison (two steals) and Karena Garcia (six rebounds) scored 10 each.

Jessie Ruffner distributed five assists to go with her eight points.

Smith (20-4, 6-3 NEWMAC) held the Lyons (1-23, 0-9) to 22 percent shooting and forced 13 turnovers. The Pioneers led 19-0 after the first quarter.

Annika Brooks scored 12 points with six rebounds for Mount Holyoke.

South Hadley’s Mikayla McEwen contributed six points.

Westfield State 100, Salem State 72 — Hampshire Regional grad Chelsea Moussette had 17 points, six assists and five rebounds in a road win. She made three 3s.

Men’s basketball

Springfield College 80, WPI 64 — Northampton’s Jake Ross scored 32 points with eight rebounds and three assists, as the Pride won their ninth game in a row.

Heath Post added a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Easthampton’s Dakota Wheeler grabbed eight rebounds and distributed four assists for the Engineers.

Westfield State 86, Salem State 63 — Amherst’s Vawn Lord scored a career-high 44 points with 11 rebounds in a road win for the Owls.

Northampson’s Henry Doherty had five points off the bench for the Vikings.
