Two wins down, two more to go for Hampshire Regional senior Michael Baldwin.
Baldwin advanced to the semifinal round in the 182-pound field at the All-State Wrestling Tournament, Friday at Methuen High School.
The Hampshire grappler won his first state Division 3 title last weekend. He will look to do the same at the All-State level, Saturday.
Baldwin will face Sean McCullough of the cooperative team Lynnfield/North Reading. Baldwin is the second seed in the bracket. McCullough is the sixth.
Top-seeded Russell Canova, of Danvers, will face No. 4 Spencer Fetrow, of Holliston, in the other semifinal. Baldwin beat Fetrow for the state D3 title.
After earning a bye, Baldwin pinned Harrison Mendrala, of Agawam, in 2 minutes, 7 seconds in the round of 16. An 8-4 quarterfinal win over David Langlois, of Woburn, put Baldwin two wins away from a championship.
Hampshire senior Mason Willard went 0-2 in the 170-pound field. He lost a 13-0 decision to Michael Edmonds, of North Attleborough, and fell 7-4 to Cassius Coates, of Duggan Academy.
