We are the Hilltown Charter School Climate Activist Team. We are a group of tweens who have a vision of a restored and healthy planet. Our mission is to make the world a better place for ourselves and future generations.

We are extremely concerned about the situation that our planet is in right now, and scared for our future and the future of our kids. We need your help to fight this crisis, with the power that you have, because we don’t. We don’t have the ability to cast our vote for the people that will be able to heal this broken world.

So, we are asking you to vote with us and nature in mind. We are the people who are going to be affected most by the crisis, yet we are the ones who aren’t able to make decisions to elect our leaders.

According to an article by Emma Marris in the New York Times on Jan. 10, 2020, she states, “the climate is not going to be solved by personal sacrifice. It will be solved by electing the right people, passing the right laws, drafting regulations, signing the right treaties — and respecting those treaties already signed, particularly with indigenous nations.”

So, we ask you to cast your vote in this primary season and the general election. Why? So that we have a chance to live and love life just like you had a chance to. So please, vote, because we can’t.
