As his callous remarks on women and minorities make clear, Michael Bloomberg is entirely unfit to be the standard bearer of the Democratic Party. He is a nothing but a ruthless billionaire businessman, cut from the same cloth as Donald Trump, and with the same autocratic tendencies.
No one should forget that when he exceeded his two-term limit as mayor of New York, he had the law changed to allow him another term — something that Donald Trump must surely envy.
If he gets the nomination, it means that the Democratic Party as I have known it will have ceased to exist. As a Democrat, I will not vote for him under any circumstances. Any. I will vote third party instead.
