Easthampton’s Mill 180 Park is popular with the preschool crowd in the colder months. I was delighted to find Lindsay Finch’s mobile art studio on a Thursday when I was there with my visiting granddaughter and we returned the next time she visited.
Thank you for featuring this activity in the paper of March 4. I would like to offer a clarification to the story that described the event as a free drop-in. Lindsay does ask for donations and has a sign and bucket. To clarify to the public, she is not compensated by the park.
Between preparation, transportation, set up, teaching, clean up and return home she must spend at least four hours working each Thursday at the park. Materials and professional time do not come free. I wish I had seen more money in her bucket.
So, come enjoy with your youngster, make a donation and ensure that this activity in Easthampton will continue.
