Passers-by on Sunday look into Thornes Marketplace in Northampton, which posted a sign stating that it will be closed effective Monday, due to concerns over the new coronavirus. “As always, the health and safety of our customers and employees is our top priority,” the sign reads. The plan is for Thornes to remain closed for 15 days, at which point the situation will be reevaluated as more information becomes available. With the exception of the South Street entrance of Herrell’s Ice Cream & Bakery, there will be no access to the building. Cornucopia will offer delivery and pickup service.
