NORTHAMPTON — Rep. Richard Neal, D-Springfield, alongside the head of Baystate Health, will hold a telephone town hall Wednesday at noon on the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19.

The town hall will be held jointly with Mark Keroack, president and CEO of Baystate Health.

“They’ve been in constant communication on this issue,” said Margaret Boyle, press secretary for Neal.

Boyle said that because people are staying home, a telephone town hall is the best way to reach as many people as possible in the district.

“We are prepared to talk about anything,” she said.

Neal will highlight the legislation that was recently passed in the U.S. House to combat the novel coronavirus and provide support for those affected by it, Boyle said. Keroack, she noted, was trained as an infectious disease doctor.

Those wishing to join in the telephone town hall  should call 866-3 83-2731.
