HADLEY — Tandem Bagel Co. has announced that it is closing all three of its locations until further notice, after one of its workers experienced symptoms associated with COVID-19.

In a post on its Facebook page, Tandem Bagel said the employee with symptoms worked at the company’s Hadley location.

“Even though there has not been a positive diagnosis, we have decided to err on the side of caution and close all Tandem locations until further notice,” reads the post.

COVID-19 is caused by a novel coronavirus that has spread to pandemic levels.

Tandem Bagel has locations in Hadley, Easthampton and Northampton.

Chris Zawacki, an owner of Tandem Bagel, said in an email that the business “had already been considering closing for the safety of customers and staff.”

“We still do not have a diagnosis, but we decided temporarily closing like many others was the right thing to do,” Zawacki wrote.
