HADLEY — Hadley’s annual town election, which had been scheduled for Tuesday, will take place either in May or June.

The Select Board, which in March moved the election to May 12 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this week will consider changing the election to May 16 from noon to 8 p.m. at Hopkins Academy, or to June, said Town Clerk Jessica Spanknebel.

Once the board makes that decision, ballots for the election will be ordered.

Hadley’s ballot is expected to have competition for a three-year position on the Select Board, a five-year position on the Planning Board and a three-year position on the Board of Health.

Voters are encouraged to go to the town website at https://www.hadleyma.org/town-clerk where they can request an absentee ballot or apply by mail for early voting.
