NORTHAMPTON — The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported 1,392 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Monday, bringing the state total to 26,867.
Of these cases, 224 are in Hampshire County.
The statewide death toll is now at 844, with 88 new deaths reported on Monday.
To date, the state has conducted 122,049 COVID-19 tests.
Cooley Dickinson Hospital is treating 13 inpatients with confirmed COVID-19 infections, five of whom are in the intensive care unit. Fifty-nine people are under investigation for COVID-19 infection, though none of these individuals are inpatients.
Overall, the hospital has had 148 people test possible for COVID-19 to date.
Baystate Health is treating 169 inpatients with confirmed COVID-19 infections across all of its hospitals, 28 of whom are in critical care units. Additionally, 14 inpatients are being investigated for COVID-19 infection.
Baystate Health has tested 2,826 people overall, with 648, or 22.9 percent, of tests coming back positive; 2,167 tests coming back negative; and 11 pending results.
