NORTHAMPTON — The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported 193 new cases of confirmed COVID-19 infections on Monday and 38 new deaths, with no probable cases reported. There are now 99,755 confirmed cases statewide and 7,217 deaths among those cases.
The state reported on Monday that 4,782 new tests for the virus were conducted, and 653,398 tests have been performed overall.
The state has reported 907 confirmed cases and 100 deaths in Hampshire County, 339 cases and 49 deaths in Franklin County and 6,365 cases and 622 deaths in Hampden County.
Among people with confirmed cases, 1,415 are hospitalized, 322 of whom are in intensive care units.
The seven-day weighted average of positive test rates has decreased by 83% since April 15, while the three-day average of hospitalized COVID-19 patients has decreased by 59% within this same period.
Cooley Dickinson Hospital reported on Monday that it is treating four inpatients with confirmed COVID-19 infection, three of whom are in the intensive care unit.
An additional 12 outpatients and one inpatient are under investigation for COVID-19 infection. To date, the hospital has had 743 people test positive.
Baystate Health is treating 29 inpatients for confirmed COVID-19 infection, including three patients in critical care units. Twenty-eight of these patients are hospitalized at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Twenty-six inpatients are under investigation for COVID-19 infection overall.
Baystate Health has tested 15,595 individuals in total, with 1,813 testing positive, 13,683 testing negative and 99 pending results.
