Michael Connors closes his article “Protesters of racism, police violence throng downtown Northampton” (June 8) by describing the dance party in the middle of Main Street as a “strange bookend” to Saturday’s demonstration.
I was there too, but it did not feel strange to me at all. I would instead describe the feeling of that moment as jubilant, powerful, uplifting, rebellious and cathartic. One thing that was “strange” about that moment, however, were the two facial recognition drones flying overhead.
