NORTHAMPTON — City police received reports Saturday afternoon that someone had fallen off of the upper level of the E.J. Gare Parking Garage next to Thornes Marketplace, Northwestern District Attorney’s Office spokesperson Mary Carey said in an email Monday.
A 48-year-old city man was found on the sidewalk just after 4 p.m. and later pronounced dead at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.
The Northwestern District Attorney’s Office does not suspect foul play, and the Northampton Police and state police detectives are conducting an investigation, according to Carey.
