NORTHAMPTON — City police and firefighters are investigating an incident in which a car parked at the Daily Hampshire Gazette office was heavily damaged by fire Tuesday morning.
Emergency personnel responded to the newspaper’s headquarters at 115 Conz St. shortly after 7:30 a.m. where the vehicle was discovered burning. The fire scorched the interior of the car, which was parked behind the building.
Assistant Fire Chief Andy Pelis said the matter is under investigation and more details would be available Tuesday night.
Police Detective Michael Briggs, who is leading the investigation, did not immediately return a phone call seeking more information.
