SPRINGFIELD — A Holyoke man was sentenced to 10 months in federal prison Friday on drug possession and distribution charges.
Roberto Santiago, 45, was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Springfield by Judge Mark G. Mastroianni to 10 months in prison and three years of supervised release for selling cocaine on Sept. 30, 2019 in Holyoke, according to a statement released by U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts.
Santiago’s arrest was the result of a multi-agency investigation into heroin trafficking in Holyoke called “Operation Open Air” which led to the arrests of 42 people on drug and firearm charges last year.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Neil L. Desroches prosecuted the case.
