South Hadley native Chris Tallman won the Connecticut Section PGA Veterans Golf Tournament, Wednesday at Mohegan Sun Golf Club.

Tallman, the pro at Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley, shot 4-under 68 to win by five strokes over Kevin Mahaffy (Pequabuck GC) and William Street (Whitney Farms GC).

Tallman led the Orchards to a win in the team event. David Bombard, David Watson, Kyle Wylie, Jay Milkey and Tallman combined to shoot 13 under and win by 10 strokes.

The tournament raised nearly $2,000 for the Salute Military Golf Association of New England. This organizationโ€™s mission is to help in the healing of wounded veterans through the power of golf.
