Katelynn Dunn scored the lone goal as the Hampshire Regional girls soccer team shut out Holyoke, 1-0, in Westhampton on Thursday.

Dunn scored in the second quarter with an assist from Brie Salomao.

Emily Yan made two saves for the shutout.

Taryn Ryan had 13 stops for the Purple Knights.

South Hadley 4, Palmer 1 โ€” The Tigers scored a pair of goals in each half. Teagan Gawron (assist) had two of them, while Paige Marjanski (assist) and Lauren Marjanski had one each.

Emma Sanford and Anna Evans had one assist apiece. Rylee Suchinez made four saves in the win.

Gateway Regional 2, PVCICS 0 โ€” Rebecca Hyjek scored twice with two assists from Hannah Duggan as the Gators won in Hadley.

Emma Bean Barlow made four saves in the shutout.

Boys soccer

South Hadley 7, Pathfinder 0 โ€” Max McCurdy tallied three goals, while Charlie Anischik and Ashton Sanford each had a goal and one assist as the Tigers cruised on the road.

Liam Sibley Welch and Colin Quinn scored once apiece. Jonas Clarke, Arya Kouzehkanani, Declan Joy, Pat Levelle and Brady Mendoza each had one assist.

Tyler Evans made five saves for the shutout.

Easthampton 9, PVCICS 0 โ€” Joe Boyer scored his first career varsity goal and Alex Major (assist) had his first varsity point as the Eagles rolled at Nonotuck Park.

Anthony Soucy and Carter Hebert each had two goals and two assists, while Carter Daughdrill (assist) also scored twice.

Isaac Hutchins had a pair of helpers, while Javier Simms and Tyler King scored one goal apiece.

Gigi DeNucce-Simms did not have to make a save for the shutout.

Abram Speek (nine saves) and Sebastian English (three save) split time in goal for the Dragons.

Westfield 2, Hampshire Regional 1 โ€” Grady Fern scored on a penalty kick and Colin Boyle made eight saves for the Raiders in Westhampton.

Field hockey

Agawam 3, Holyoke 0 โ€” Isabell Murphy made 19 saves but the Purple Knights fell on the road.

Boys cross country

Belchertown 20, Palmer 38 โ€” The Orioles took the top two and four of the top five places as they won on their 2.9-mile home course at Foley Field.

Evan Harrington was first (18:46) and Trevor Adamson (19:10) second. Ty Bogdanovich (20:27) was fourth and Karl Underwood (20:29) fifth. Carter Masse (eighth, 23:32) rounded out Belchertownโ€™s finish.

Girls cross country

Belchertown 15, Palmer 50 โ€” The Orioles swept the top five places on their 2.9-mile home course at Foley Field.

Molly Bail led the way in 24:23. Cameron Ting (24:24), Natalie Shaw (25:51), Abby Potter (28:07) and Rebecca Patel (28:27) followed and capped the victory.

Gymnastics

Hampshire Regional 129.8, Chicopee Comp 113.55 โ€” Hailey Raffa won three individual events as well as the all-around as the Raiders (2-0) won on the road, Wednesday night.

Raffa won the vault (8.85), balance beam (8.7) and floor exercise (9.0). She was second on uneven bars (8.0) and first in the all-around (34.55).

Tyler Hetu placed first on the bars (8.4), second on floor (8.75) and was third in the all-around (32.4).
