It’s been three weeks since the Amherst Regional cross country program hit the trails, but not even a string of postponements could slow the Hurricanes.

Amherst raced past Belchertown, 15-50 in the girls race, and 15-48 in the boys meet, Tuesday in Amherst.

Vivian Jacobs-Townsley led a 1-5 finish in the girls race for the ’Canes. She finished the 5-kilometer course in 20 minutes, 28 seconds.

Maddie Shea (21:08), Annalise Peterson (22:19), April Schilling (23:30) and Jana Murphy (23:52) followed.

Rebecca Patel was eighth and Kami Wlodyka was ninth for the Orioles. They both finished in 27:00. Kasey Gibbons (28:28), Meredith Medina (29:02) and Paige Ivey (29:26) were 10th through 12th for Belchertown.

Kyle Yanko was first in the boys meet in 17:50 as the Hurricanes took seven out of the first eight spots.

Griffin Jones (17:58) was second, followed by Ben Buffone (18:49), Diego Lopez (18:49) and Jackson Hinkel (18:50).

Brandon Adamson was sixth (19:13) for Belchertown.

Ethan Andrews (ninth, 19:51), Karl Underwood (11th, 20:08), Derek Gould (14th, 20:44) and Matt Stelmekos (16th, 20:46) closed out the Orioles’ top five.

Boys cross country

Hampshire Regional 20, West Springfield 39 — Declan Morgan (16:23) finished first for the visiting Terriers, but Jeff Fish led a group of Raiders across the line for the win in Westhampton.

Fish (17:10) was second, followed by Nitesh Roncone (17:21), Gulian Marconi (17:38), Evan Coltman (17:51) and Jadyn Kopie (18:03).

Northampton 15, Westfield 48 — The Blue Devils swept the top five and took nine out of the top 10 en route to the win on their 3.1-mile course at Community Gardens.

Lars Sippel and Riley Cole went 1-2, each finishing in 16:46. Jon Lischetti (16:56), Nate Jones (17:23) and Max Schneider (17:26) followed for Northampton, which closed its season at 4-0.

PVCICS 16, Smith Vocational 45 — Odin Moore shattered the Vikings’ course record (15:50) as the Dragons won on their 2.5-mile course.

Moore finished in 14:39 as the Dragons took the top four spots. Hunter Palm (15:17) and Kyan Frantz (15:42) also broke the course record. Leo Gomez-Daniels (16:49) was fourth and Frafton Tolopko (17:40) sixth for PVVICS.

Matt Herron (16:59) was fifth and Ariel Ginsberg (17:43) was seventh for the Vikings. Trevont’e Moore (19:06) was 10th.

Frontier Regional 26, Greenfield 33 — Danny Fellows (18:34) and Aleks Carey (18:37 finished second and third to lead the Red Hawks on the 2.8-mile course at Highland Park in Greenfield.

Aden Gray (19:24), Jack Carey (19:42) and Erich Brown (19:46) crossed in sixth, seventh and eighth to close out the win.

Andy Bostom was first for the Green Wave in 18:21.

Girls cross country

Hampshire Regional 18, West Springfield 38 — Sylvie Mahon-Moore (20:04) and Sicily Chase (21:17 went 1-2 to lead the Raiders on their home course in Westhampton.

Katie Shallcross (22:06), Maddie Jenkins (22:07) and Delaney Marek (23:02) crossed 4-5-6 to cap the win.

Northampton 15, Westfield 50 — Lily Shimpach won her first race, finishing in a personal best 21:06 as the Blue Devils cruised at their 3.1-mile course at Community Gardens.

Abby Andrews (21:33), Sarah Amzil (21:44), Naomi Andrew (21:47) and Esmé Marini-Rapoport (21:49) finished second through fifth.

Frontier Regional 15, Greenfield 50 — Angelina Egland (21:08) led a 1-2-3 finish as the Red Hawks cruised on the 2.8-mile course at Highland Park in Greenfield.

Leah Gump (21:52) and Abigail Howard (22:07) followed. Olivia Deane (22:16) was fifth and Lucia Doulette (22:57) sixth in the victory.
