SOUTHAMPTON — A COVID-19 case has been reported in the William E. Norris School community, although the affected person was not in the school building while contagious.
This information was conveyed via letter sent out by Aliza Pluta, the principal of the Norris School.
“The individual was not in the school building during their infectious period, and we can confidently say that there are no identified close contacts in the school community,” the letter reads. “We are also following all Department of Health protocols, including collaborating with our local board of health so they are able to complete contact tracing outside of the school community.”
Stephanie Faas, nurse neader and health education coordinator for Hampshire Regional School District, who was listed as a contact on Pluta’s letter, could not be reached for comment Friday.
