The median sale price of single-family homes in Hampshire County climbed to $301,555 in 2020, up 7.7% from 2019, when the median price was $275,000, according to figures released this week by the Warren Group, a Boston firm that tracks real estate sales.
The number of homes sold in Hampshire County also rose, but only by about 0.5%, to 1,382 in 2020 compared to 1,374 the year before. Sales surged in December, however, jumping 36% to 150 from 110 homes sold in December 2019, the Warren Group reported.
Statewide, there were 61,469 single-family home sales in 2020 — a 3.9% increase from 2019 when there were 59,178 transactions. Meanwhile, the median single-family sale price hit $445,500 — an 11.4% increase on the same basis.
HOLYOKE — Luz Lopez, executive director of MetroCare of Springfield, and Annamarie Golden, director of community relations for Baystate Health, will be the featured presenters Jan. 27 for the first Holyoke Community College Women’s Leadership Luncheon Series of 2021.
The series will be held from noon to 1:15 p.m. over Zoom on the last Wednesdays of January, February, March, April and May.
Once a month, participants will join a group of women leaders to discuss current issues and ideas to help their leadership development. They will also have the opportunity to form a supportive network of women leaders to help navigate their careers.
The theme of the first session is “Compassion Fatigue.”
Future discussions will include:
■Feb. 24: “Maintaining Power and Grace with Glass Ceilings,” with Lynn Turner, coach and business strategist, Clear Vision Alliance, Inc., and Moe Belliveau, executive director, Easthampton Chamber of Commerce.
■March 31: “Women’s Leadership from a Male Perspective.
■April 28: Top to be determined.
■May 26: “Leading Through Change,” Margaret Tantillo, executive director, Dress for Success Western Massachusetts, and Jess Roncarati-Howe, program director, Dress for Success Western Massachusetts.

SOUTH HADLEY — Restoration specialist Bill Jackson of Naugatuck, Conneticut has joined the business development team at Adam Quenneville Roofing & Siding Inc.
He will work to expand partnerships and provide assistance throughout the New England condominium industry, particularly for members of the Community Associations Institute.
Jackson and Quenneville have been longtime members of CAI, an international organization that provides education and information to condominium professionals.
Jackson’s experience in the condominium industry will give property managers a go-to source for renovations that may include roofing, siding, windows, decks and all-inclusive envelope projects. He will also work closely with clients to solve any issues. Jackson was a member of the CAI-CT Board of Directors for six years. He also served on the association’s Full Fun Committee, Conference Committee, and he’s a Certified Educated Business Partner.
