Andrew Ciaglo made five 3-pointers and scored 19 points, as the Hopkins Academy boys basketball team beat Frontier Regional 59-41 on Tuesday in Hadley.

The Golden Hawks outscored the Red Hawks 17-3, with Ciaglo scoring 10.

Addison Phifer (12 points) and Colin Earle (11) also reached double figures for Hopkins.

Joe Thomson led Frontier with 16 points, while Ethan Machon drained three 3s and scored nine points.

Girls basketball

Amherst 69, Hampden Charter 12 –  Delaney MacPhetres led three Hurricanes in double figures with 15 points. Tessa Kawall added 14, and Petua Mukimba scored 10.

Hampden Charter didn’t score in the first or fourth quarters.

All 11 Amherst players that entered the game scored.

Frontier Regional 52, Hopkins Academy 16 – Kaitlyn Mackin scored 13 points to lead the Red Hawks to a home win. Kyle Laford added 10 points, and Alena Maes-Polan had nine.

Frontier scored 21 points in the third quarter to pull away.

Kasey Earle scored nine points to lead the Golden Hawks.
