PLAINFIELD – A 56-year-old woman died from injuries suffered in a snowmobile crash in Plainfield on Saturday evening.
The woman was riding with about six other snowmobilers when her machine struck a tree in the vicinity of North Central Street shortly after 6 p.m., according to the Northwestern district attorney’s office.
The woman, whose identity was not released, was transported to Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton, where she was pronounced dead.
No foul play is suspected and the cause of the crash remains under investigation, according to the DA’s office.
