SOUTHAMPTON — The owner of Smitty’s Discount Liquor has purchased the former Harley-Davidson building at 17 College Highway for $2.4 million. Plans for the property are currently unknown.

According to a property deed, Westfield resident Bintula Patel, who owns the neighboring liquor store at 16 College Highway, purchased the property as Shivesha LLC. Patel could not be reached for comment on Monday or Tuesday.

According to Town Administrator Ed Gibson, “to this point in time, the new owner has not applied for any permits or licenses for the property and has not announced what his plans are for that property.”

The former Harley-Davidson dealership, which was owned by Aaron and Monica Patrick since 2007, shuttered in September due to weak sales that continued to decline during the pandemic. The location was the last Harley-Davidson dealership in the Pioneer Valley.

The deed lists Patrick Properties as the seller.
