HADLEY — A luminaria walk is being held Saturday night outside the First Congregational Church at 102 Middle St.

The Night of Light, a 30-minute event timed for Easter eve, begins at 7 p.m. with a prayer from church pastor Bill Wright and a short piece of music.

Then, as the sun sets, people will wander through the luminaria, which are bags created by church members and lit from inside by battery-powered tea lights. The luminaria will be set up on the church steps and lawn.

Guests are reminded to stay six feet apart from people who are not in their households.

The event is also being used to collect food, with those who have made luminaria attaching the bags to nonperishable cans of food, like tuna and soup.
