NORTHAMPTON — Lane closures on Route 9 and Damon Road are expected to cause traffic delays during mornings and afternoons Monday through Friday this week.
Various lanes on the two roads will be reduced to one-way traffic from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the specified days to allow paving for the Northampton Route 9/Damon Road/I-91 northbound Interchange Roundabout Project, according to the Department of Transportation (MassDOT).
Drivers are advised to reduce their speed and use caution when traveling through the area. Signs, police details and message boards will also be in place to guide drivers around the roadwork area.
