NORTHAMPTON — Forbes Library continues to expand its offerings to the public as the threat of COVID-19 lessens, and has opened many additional spaces such as study tables, computers and movie stacks.
Though visitors are still required to wear masks and curbside and home delivery services remain available, the Children’s and Young Adult sections are now open on Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and later this month more hours will be added on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Items from these sections and information concerning Summer Reading are accessible whenever the library is open.
Services will continue to expand as the summer continues, and after Labor Day, the library expects to resume normal hours and services.
The Coolidge Presidential Library and Museum also anticipate full hours and services by September, but for now they have lessened their hours, and an appointment is necessary for access to the local history and special collections.
