Evan Hu drove in three runs as the Belchertown Post 239 baseball team bested Northampton Post 28, 9-5, in an American Legion Senior Division game at Arcanum Field on Monday.

Belchertown racked up 13 hits.

J.B. Mills (two RBIs, run scored), Ty Gladu (two RBIs, run), Nate Mills, Eli Kaiser-Hirsch (run) and Ryan Zawistowski each had two hits.

Logan Dapprich picked up the win in relief after two scoreless innings, while Ryan Gaughan threw three shutout innings to start.

Belchertown built a 7-0 lead in the first three innings before Northampton fought back with five runs in the fourth. Bennett Kelly and Colin Ferrara (run) each had two hits and two RBIs, while Jake Brittain singled twice.

Monday was the last regular season games for both teams. Western Mass.’ American Legion teams will host a double-elimination sectional tournament starting Friday.
