The Northampton Post 28 American Legion baseball team kept its season alive with two weekend victories.
Northampton defeated Monson Post 241 7-0 on Saturday then took down Wilbraham Post 286 10-3 on Sunday in the District 3 Round 2 playoffs losers bracket.
Play resumes Tuesday.
Sunday against Wilbraham, Northampton trailed 3-2 then scored eight runs in the bottom of the sixth. Post 28 sent 12 batters to the plate.
Leadoff hitter Colin Ferrara went 3-for-3 and scored a run.
Wilson Heath and Wes Parent each ad two hits, an RBI and scored a run.
Jake Brittain picked up the win after striking out six in six innings.
South Hadley claimed the Pioneer Valley Summer Soccer Boys High School B championship with a 3-0 victory over Ludlow C on Saturday at AIC. Braden Joy was named the most valuable player.
Belchertown fell 2-0 against Ludlow Ideal A in the boys championship later Saturday night.
