NORTHAMPTON – Friends Davis Britland of Worthington, Camille Santiago of Charlemont, Sam Rode of Charlemont and Max Swenson of Northampton, joined by Swenson’s seven-month-old husky/German shepherd mix, Nala, tossed around a disc at Sheldon Field before setting up for a game of spikeball on Tuesday. Northampton native Swenson, who played Ultimate for the Blue Devils, likened spikeball to a cross between volleyball and four square, involving a lot of leaping and diving, like the game of Ultimate.
