NORTHAMPTON — An early morning fire forced 15 people to evacuate from the multifamily home at 25 Graves Ave. on Tuesday.
A firefighter suffered a minor injury responding to the fire at 3:25 a.m. and was taken to Cooley Dickinson Hospital as a precaution, according to the Northampton Fire Department.
Responding firefighters reported flames and smoke coming from a second-story window. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
The property is a group living environment and the tenants were placed into temporary housing at r other facilities.
The building, Hatch said, is not a loss, but will need renovations and repairs.
Fire departments in Easthampton, Hadley and South Deerfield provided mutual aid.
