HOLYOKE — The Holyoke Police Department has seized what is says is a cache of more than 100 firearms from a city home.
In a statement Thursday, police Capt. Matthew Moriarty said Holyoke police and officers from the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives executed a search warrant at 5 Robert Drive and took the home’s owner, Daniel Augusto, “in for questioning.”
“Over 100 firearms were seized and are being processed as evidence,” Moriarty said. “Investigation is ongoing and charges are being sought.”
Moriarty said police would release more information soon.
