NORTHAMPTON – A steady snow Wednesday afternoon put a defining line of white on the cityscape and highlighted the branches of trees on the arboreous Smith College campus – most, if not all, of which are labeled – including a Sargent’s cherry tree, also known as a Northern Japan hill cherry, outside of Clark Hall on Elm Street. With warmer weather returning, the snow is likely to be short-lived.
