SHUTESBURY — Residents interested in running for elective office in the town’s May 21 election have until Saturday afternoon to turn in nomination papers.
The town clerk’s office will be open from 3 to 5 p.m. that day to accept forms with signatures from 20 registered voters in town, which allows a candidate’s name to be printed on the ballot.
Up for election include single positions on the Select Board, School Committee, Board of Health and Municipal Light Plant, and for moderator and constable, two seats on the trustees for the library and three seats on the Planning Board.
The election will, as usual, coincide with Annual Town Meeting, which is being held in the field behind Town Hall.
