PELHAM — Voters will not be deciding any contests at Tuesday’s annual town election for the sixth year in a row, with incumbents and newcomers running unopposed, and many positions again to be filled by write-in candidates.
Polls will be open on May 17 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Ramsdell Room at the Pelham Library.
The specimen ballot shows that among those running for reelection are David Shanabrook of Harkness Road, for a three-year position on the Select Board, and Richard M. Hall, for a three-year term on the Board of Health.
Also on the ballot are Melissa Nazarro of Daniel Shays Highway for the one-year term on Board of Health, and Alyse Bynum of Boyden Road and Abigail Jenks of Jones Road for the two three-year positions as library trustees.
Positions with no announced candidates include three-year terms on the Board of Assessors, School Committee, Cemetery Commission and Community Preservation Committee, one-year terms as auditor and moderator, and a five-year term on the Planning Board.
Pelham last had a contested election in 2016, when two residents vied for the one-year position as moderator.
