In the last few years Hadley has seen the resignations of several skilled, experienced and highly regarded volunteers in town government. There has been a dramatic increase in legal expenses and a loss of morale among some of our most valued employees. This was a direct result of heavy handed actions of the current Select Board, two of whom are running for reelection.
I like the approaches articulated by Randy Izer and Molly Keegan, both of whom are challenging incumbents. Both have demonstrated, through past service in Hadley, a balanced and even-handed competence. That is what is needed in an organization with 150 employees and a budget of almost $20 million.
We need collaboration not controversy, I will be voting for Molly and Randy next Tuesday. Please consider them too. This is an important election for Hadley’s future.
