HUNTINGTON — There are no contested races on the ballot in the annual town election Saturday, which will be followed by a crucial special election on the first Saturday in June.
The annual election will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Stanton Hall, where seats on the Select Board, the Gateway Regional School Committee and the Board of Assessors are among the positions on the ballot.
On June 4, a special election will be held at Stanton Hall from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. where voters will decide on Proposition 2½ overrides to fund the library and ambulance budgets. The override for the library is $86,328, while the ambulance override is $58,777.
