HOLYOKE — Police are investigating a report of shots fired on South Bridge Street on Monday night.

Police said in a release that they responded at approximately 9:30 p.m. Monday night to the area of 556 South Bridge St. and were advised that the driver of a black sedan traveling south on South Bridge Street had stuck a gun out of the driver-side window and fired it in the air.

No reports of property damage or personal injury was reported as a result of the incident. However, police said two dozen shell casings were recovered.

The incident remains under investigation.
