The Northampton golf team completed nearly a clean sweep against Amherst on Thursday, notching a 23½–½ win at Amherst Golf Club.

Galen Fowles kept up his hot streak in a match against Amherst star Piet Hartman. Fowles won the match 3½-½, firing a 34 to Hartman’s 36.

Two other golfers shot under 40 for the Blue Devils – Reilly Fowles won his match 4-0 with a 37 while teammate Jack Mattison-Gulotta scored a 38. Ben O’Connor also scored a 40 for Northampton, winning his match 4-0.

Pioneer 17, Hopkins 7 – Hopkins’ Taylor Barry (43) won a tight match against Pioneer’s Ben Werner (44) in the No. 1 match, but Hopkins fell to 0-2 with a loss against Pioneer at Holyoke Country Club on Thursday.

Siddath Parmar (65) also defeated Ryan Gerrtin (66) 3-1 in a tight match. 

 Belchertown 17½,  South Hadley 6½  –  The Orioles improved to 2-0 against South Hadley at Cold Spring Golf Club.

Belchertown’s Riley Breen and South Hadley’s Ryan McGregor tied with the lowest score of the afternoon, each shooting a 39 to tie in the No. 1 match. Henry Poissant shot a 41 and Michael Murray, Brady Perkins and Cal Orzech all shot 42 for Belchertown. 

Hampshire 16½, Frontier 7½ — Levi Zielinski took medalist honors with a 39, powering Hampshire to a victory at Beaver Brook Country Club on Thursday.

Zielinski won three points in his match at No. 1. Brayden Fennessey also won three points at No. 2 with a 40, while Owen Lech shot 46 to earn two points at No. 3.

Cam Skiffington (46) and Addy Wood (51) each scored a pair of points for the Redhawks in the loss.
