The reigning Atlantic 10 champions now know their Atlantic 10 Conference schedule for the upcoming 2022-23 season.
The UMass women’s basketball team will play 16 conference games, opening its A-10 schedule against St. Bonaventure at the Mullins Center on New Year’s Eve.
One of the schedule’s highlights will be an A-10 championship rematch between UMass and Dayton. The Minutewomen will hit the road to face off against Dayton in the lone regular season matchup between the two squads, though the game will be streamed on ESPNU.
The Minutewomen will have another nationally broadcast game when they host VCU at home on Jan. 26. That noon contest will be televised on NBC Sports.
UMass will host eight home conference games in total. Besides the opening contest against St. Bonaventure, the Minutewomen will host Rhode Island (Jan. 4), St. Joseph’s (Jan. 14), VCU (Jan. 26), Richmond (Feb. 1), Fordham (Feb. 8), Davidson (Feb. 19) and George Washington (Feb. 25).
Their away contests will be against Loyola Chicago (Jan. 7), back-to-back contests against Fordham (Jan. 18) and Dayton (Jan. 22), Duquesne (Jan. 29) and La Salle (Feb. 4). They’ll close out their regular schedule with three of their final five games on the road, traveling to George Mason (Feb. 12), Rhode Island (Feb. 16) and St. Louis (Feb. 22) before their final home game against GW.
The Minutewomen’s nonconference schedule had previously been released, including a marquee road game at Tennessee on Nov. 10. UMass will also play in the Arizona State Tournament Dec. 2-3 against host Arizona State and Missouri.
