LEVERETT — Voters are being asked to authorize construction of a storage shed at the Leverett Elementary School and to pay prior year bills when a special Town Meeting convenes Tuesday.

The session to take up a five-article warrant begins at 7 p.m. in the school’s auditorium.

The first article would have the 8-foot by 10-foot shed, to store garden tools and other materials, constructed near the existing greenhouse. The article needs a two-thirds majority to pass, and would be in accordance with Article 15 at the spring 2021 Annual Town Meeting.

The prior year bills that need to be paid include $13,397 for winter salt and $748 for yard work and truck parts, all for the Highway Department, $1,532 for hauling costs for the transfer station and unspecified bills for the town clerk. These all need 80% support to pass.
