On Oct. 26, I received excellent care yet again from the medical and support staff at Cooley Dickinson Hospital. Public gratitude seems appropriate given all the difficulties the medical profession has encountered in the last few years. Having spent 10 days in 2020 in the hospital with COVID-19 with an equal experience of devotion and competence under the care of a completely different set of professionals, I can only conclude that our local hospital is doing a great job of retaining and/or recruiting the best people available. A special shout out to nurses Chris, Rosie, Julia and the others whose names I didn’t catch — and to the surgical team that inspired and deserves confidence.
